Why search by starting letters?
First letters are fixed information in almost every word game. A crossword gives you the opening letters of an answer, a Wordle guess turns tiles green at the front, and a Scrabble board rewards plays that start on a premium square or hook onto an existing word. This finder turns those fixed letters into a complete candidate list in one tap, using the same 270,000+ word dictionary as the unscrambler.

Tips
- Two letters is the sweet spot. One letter returns a flood; two or three letters give a list you can actually scan.
- Sort by length in your head. Shorter matches fit tight crossword slots and small board gaps; longer ones score more.
- Check the definition before you play. Tapping a word opens its definition — useful when a challenge is possible.
- Combine both ends. If you know the start and the end, cross-check the shorter of the two lists.

Why do I need words that start with certain letters?

Can I filter the results by word length?
Yes. After you search, length chips appear above the results. Tap one (for example, '7 letters') to see only words of that length, or tap 'All lengths' to see everything.
